Cygnum Capital was pleased to participate in the Africa Investment Forum's Investment Roundtable Series at the ongoing African Development Bank Group Annual Meetings in Nairobi with the Sustainable Energy Fund for Africa (SEFA) and Boston Consulting Group (BCG). The theme was "Bankability & Project Development" and attracted key players including entrepreneurs, sponsors, investors and advisers active within the infrastructure and project development space in Africa.
Cygnum Capital provided insights on bankability from its unique perspective as both an investor, through our multi-fund asset management platform, and as an advisor through our investment banking/advisory business.
We highlighted the crucial role of the technical assistance facilities attached to our managed funds in helping project sponsors/investees enhance the bankability of their transactions. We also highlighted how our investment banking team works with project sponsors to enhance bankability through financial structuring and advisory, and to prepare projects for financing. Finally, we underscored Africa Investment Forum's role as a facilitator in connecting project sponsors with resources to enhance bankability.
